Homework
- Written
- Monthly homework packets are placed into the “homework” portion of your child’s folder. Please move completed packets to the “school” pocket for review.
- Unless otherwise instructed; writing should be completed in pencil, and coloring with crayons or colored pencils.
- Please let your child write or trace his/her own name and do the cutting and gluing.
- Kindergarten students should work on written homework for no longer than 10 minutes each day.
- I accept late homework with no penalty. I expect your child to do his/her best work.
- Reading
- Monthly reading logs are included with the homework packets.
- Your child should color one picture on the reading log for every 5 minutes spent reading or being read to.
- I copy and send home books, which your child can read, in the “homework” portion of the folder. You may keep the books that I send home.
- Practice makes Perfect
- Count to 100 (by February) can count on from any number (by May)
- Letter fluency: Minute Race
- Sight words: Practice new and missed words
- Homework is due at the end of each month.
- Homework is graded as complete or incomplete.
